The Great British Public Give Fantastic Support to Charity Country Food and Craft Fair
A massive thank you to all the people who ventured out on the May Bank Holiday Monday to Earsham Hall, as the rain poured for the first time in weeks!! It didn’t deter over 3000 people who visited and enjoyed the delights of the third Country Food and Craft Fair at the Hall. Enjoying the many wonderful food and craft stalls and entertainment, the best bit is that they all helped to raise over £3,500 for Big C, the local cancer care and research charity!
We must also thank those who supported the event in various ways in the run up to the Fair and on the day, namely Brian Gunn who gave his time to open the day in the pouring rain, Barnwell Printing, and generally to all the stallholders, staff and volunteers who worked so hard to make the day such a success – and lots of fun! The Barley Brigg Morris Dancers added lots of colour to the festivities and Dave Doughnut, presented the ever popular Punch and Judy show with rave reviews from children and adults alike!
Many of the food stallholders sold out at the Fair – a great sign that good local produce is ever popular and great value for money.
We are excited by the many opportunities in our local community and the fact that the May Fair raised over £3,500 for charity fuels us for more adventures – we hope that we can continue to tell you about it – whatever the weather!!!
